Easter my way

After blabbing about the kids and their chocolate massacre, I must say I also had quite the treat. Every so often, the Masters is held on Easter weekend. As a result, I was able to watch an un-godly amount of golf this weekend and am very grateful for that. It was a top 10 Masters… Read More »

Mexico laugh

I’m still whipping up some experiences from our 2nd trip to Sandos Carocal. But I gotta give a nod to Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. The resort has a multitude of approx 2 feet ebony Mayan carved statues of little pigs scattered throughout the property. Christien started noticing them one day and exclaimed whilst… Read More »

Record temps and broken limbs

Before I forget, I need to record the fact that we’ve been setting record highs this week: 23 degrees yesterday and 27 is expected for today!! It’s been low 20s all week. It is expected to drop and start raining over the weekend…but still in the mid teens. With our trip to Mexico from Feb… Read More »

Wonderboy ’12 goes hi-tech

Even with the mild winter we are having here in the south of the province, it is still time for the winter classic Wonderboy. It is the 14th annual and my 9th consecutive. It’s like going to see an old friend. The house is set up the same, the people are for the most part… Read More »

double whammied

On Sunday morning the car wouldn’t start. Missed out on Sonia playing piano and/or Christien’s first sports class. On Sunday afternoon the sump pump died. Total cost: 500. Total value: priceless.

Disney Live

We took the kids to Disney Live last Fri night. It’s the 2nd time for Olivia and the 1st for Christien. Both were enthralled. Olivia dressed up as Snow White as did many other little girls. The ratio of girls to boys had to have been around 20-1. That’s because the theme of this performance… Read More »

Skiing

We dropped the kids off at the grandparents and did some night skiing at Chicopee last night. Actually used one of those Treasures 2-for-1 coupons so it cost us only 33 dollars to ski for 2hrs. Because it was relatively cheap we were not desperate to get in as many runs as possible. With the… Read More »

A different New Year’s event

Traditionally we’ve gone to house parties on New Year’s Eve sans enfants. This year we changed gears and decided to go to the city event at town square. It was an outdoor skating party and performers for the kids. It went from 6-9 pm with a new year’s countdown at 9. The kids loved it… Read More »

Crushed in the semis

So, it really was the worst case scenario. I was crushed 91-29 and it was evidently over even before the 1st half of the 1st games. He had a WR that alone scored 24 pts. 91 is a good score, but beatable. I lost via the perfect storm. My DST was up against the lowly,… Read More »
