Welcome to Arcade Nirvana! This arcade cabinet is equipped to play virtually any arcade game that was ever created. With the Mame engine powering this beast, it is possible to play all your favourite games from Pong to whatever game it is kids these days are playing in the Arcades. I’m a sucker for the classics like Pac-man and Asteroids so I haven’t kept up with the more recent games.
Here is the finished product:
Mame is short for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. It is software that enables you to play thousands of arcade games off of a PC regardless of the hardware that ran the game in the arcade. The emulator will ensure the playability, the sound, the graphics are identical to what was originally released commercially. For an indepth discussion of Mame and its sub-culture you can start by going to http://www.mame.net/.
For a nice refresher of many of the arcade games you may or may not have played over the past 35 years, go to http://www.klov.com/. There are plenty of screen captures to help you remember the games and the fun you had playing them.
Don’t forget to Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions or if you’d like to discuss ordering one of these!

First, here are some pics to show you the almost completed cabinet. I started this project Nov 1st with research, cut wood on Nov 15 and finished on Dec 23rd in time for Christmas:
