On August 27th, just short of 6:30pm, I had a hole-in-one last night during our league play. 168yd par 3 #8 on the Village. Slight downwind. Pin was middle right position. I landed the green about 160yds with my 6-iron with a slight draw. It bounced once and gently rolled into the hole.
I’ve had so many shots come within an inch of going in that I expected it to nestle in tight. What a pleasant surprise when the ball disappeared. There was no doubt it was in.
I had 3 witnesses in my group from the league as well as another 4-some that was on the next tee-block.
The crazy thing is that somebody else had a hole-in-one the previous week during league play. One of the members of my 4some was also in that group.
I’m guessing not too many people have witnessed two hole in ones within a week of each other!
The good news is that the ace lowered my score enough to earn me max points for the leaderboard.
The ball was a refinished Titleist Pro V1x. Ball number: 2 – my lucky number.
