What a concert indeed! That was the most memorable concert for me. I've seen other bands such as the Tea Party accompanied by an orchestra before but Ocean Rain was over the top. That song gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it and when Ian nailed the long notes last night it blew me away. Often he doesn't stretch those ones out and leaves it muffled or relying on the crowd to fill in.

Roach, your comment of the anticipation building up to Killing Moon was bang on. That erased any doubts in the audience that we were watching some special (if there were earlier nay-sayers around). What a performance!

The iMac mess up on the backscreen slideshow was a shame given the mood of Ocean Rain but it was a momentary lapse and soon forgotten with Will's guitar wails and Ian's voice. Amazing how quiet it got when he was controlling the pace of the song. You could hear a pin drop for a second and then he'd bring the orchestra and band back into the song to crush you :) Just awesome!
