Oh Moldy Bread, why must you hurt me so?

I ate some moldy bread last night.

Oh, how it hurt me.

I ate some moldy bread last night.

Oh, how it hurt me.

It hurt me in the morning about the hour of 6

It hurt me in the noontime sitting at my desk

I ate some moldy bread last night.

Oh, how it hurt me.

I ate some moldy bread last night.

Oh, how it hurt me.

It also hurt at 2 today, and once again at 3

What more must I do to get it out of me?

I ate some moldy bread last night,

OH, HOW IT HURT ME!

Good Move

Well, we’re in a hiatus between what I like to call the relevant sports of football and baseball.  Most people call it March, I call it ‘Damn I wish it were spring’.  It’s almost time to start scouting for my Fantasy Baseball League (yes I am one of those), but not quite.  Spring Training has just started so I need a couple more weeks for injuries and no-shows to shake out.

So while I recover from Wonderboy and ponder about what I’d like to say about that, I was scanning my news feeds and came across a significant move for the Toronto Raptors.  I’m no longer a fan of basketball.  I gave that up once I left university because I just don’t like to watch a pro sport where most of the players are younger than me – which is eventually going to come to a head sooner than later in most other sports.  It reminds me of the fact that if I’m going to be a pro in any of these sports, I’d better start buckling down soon.  By the way, when does middle age start?

Back to basketball.  Not a fan, don’t even know many of the big names.  Well, I know them but I don’t know which school/program they came out of, their fellow alumni, etc.  I.e. I can no longer handicap the game so it would be hard to make some coin on some friendly wagers ;)  But, I did notice something that should make Canadians take notice of the once popular Raptors team.  Today they acquired Bryan Colangelo as their new GM.  And this is midseason.  You can read the article here.

This is a huge deal for the team.  Colangelo has big credibility and a proven track record for producing winning teams.  He will command respect with the current team players and more importantly, should be able to attract top talent to the organization.  Good work Raptors.  I may have to start paying more attention now.
